The No. 62 Ferrari F458 Italia will start sixth in GTLM class for the 53rd Annual Rolex 24 Hours At Daytona at Daytona International Speedway, Saturday, January 24, 2015. Pierre Kaffer of Germany qualified less than half a second behind Saturday's class pole sitter with a best lap time of 143.986.
Confident with the car set up and determined for a good performance, the Houston, Texas-based team is ready for race action. The red Ferrari F458 Italia is one of two Ferraris and one of 10 entries in the highly competitive GTLM field for 2015. Kaffer, with full-season teammate Giancarlo Fisichella (Italy) team-up with Olivier Beretta (Monaco) and Davide Rigon (Italy) for Saturday's race.

"I really had fun in this qualifying and I think that we did a very good job. Unfortunately, the last lap the luck was not on our side. You can see how tight this championship is and especially in the GTLM class. Four or five drivers were within one tenth and it's very tight. I am really looking forward to the race because that means it should be a really exciting race. I think in the GTLM class is the class to watch. Thanks to Ferrari and Risi Competizione, they have given me a car that was excellent to drive and I am really looking forward to starting the race on Saturday. We have improved the car from this morning session to this afternoon. Our car is very good on average pace and I think that is the most important thing that we should concentrate on. Now it is important to not make any mistakes in the race, stay out of trouble, not take 110 percent risks, and keep the car on the right track."
Rick Mayer, race engineer, No. 62 Ferrari F458 Italia:
"Being a 24-hour race, we are not that far off. We lacked a little bit of traction in the qualifying session and we needed a little bit more traction. We don't know where that's gone but it was a little bit of fun here. But otherwise we didn't want to risk it and go 10-10th. There's no point. We're kind of happy with placing sixth with 24 hours. There is a lot to go yet, but not disappointed at all."
