Round 2: Malcolm Wilson Rally, 7 March

Last year’s champion driver Matthew Robinson – navigated by Kim Baker – made a successful return to the championship by wining class E5 on the Malcolm Wilson Rally.

Dave Bennett and co-driver Alistair McNeil held an early lead in the hotly contested 1400 category but retired on stage three, while Mat Smith and Giles Dykes got faster as the day progressed to stay ahead of Dave and Freddie Brick.

Nick Carr and Joe Sturdy also made a successful championship return to win class E1 for standard cars up to 1400cc. Greg and Chris McKnight were victorious in class E3, while Tony Simpson and Ian Bevan took the points in class E4.
