Round 2: Bishopscourt, 15 March

Defending champion Derek McGarrity cruised to victory by over a minute on round two at Bishopscourt, organised by Ballynahinch and District Motor Club.

McGarrity meant business right from the start, bringing into focus the battle for second between Kenny McKinstry and Derek McGeehan. Two big spins in the final stage cost McKinstry the runner-up spot but he completed the podium nevertheless.

Peader Hurson was fourth ahead of Lisburn’s Jonny Morrow, who decided to treat himself to a run in an S9 Impreza after an eight-year absence. Alastair Cochrane took the two-wheel-drive honours in sixth overall.
