Round 4: Stuart Butterfield Memorial Trial, 15 March

Andrew Woodhead won the second Stuart Butterfield Sporting Trial in Yorkshire by just three marks from Roland Uglow.

Julian Fack had an error-free day to complete the podium in third place, despite breaking his differential on the last of the 28 challenging hills. Championship leader Ian Bell struggled with a poorly performing engine to finish seventh on 51 marks.

Barry Hogg (Hamilton) lost out on a tie-break for third place but won the Intermediate Class from Boyd Webster (Crosslé). The immaculate Kincraft of Brian Thornton was the highest placed live axle in 10th overall, losing 54 marks. Ian Fullwood (CAP) won the Novice Class on 112 marks.
