TW Steel DMAX Championship Round Two launches 50 new DMAX karts New fleet equals £250,000 investment by Daytona Motorsport GroupNew Rotax Evo Max engine hailed as 'best ever' by driversThe UK's most competitive hire-kart series, the TW Steel DMAX Championship, was catapulted into an even more prestigious arena last Sunday (15 March) when 50 brand new TW Steel DMAX karts were unveiled at Daytona Sandown Park. 134 of the UK's fastest kart racers took to the wheels of the sparkling new fleet on the 900 metre Grand Prix Esher circuit for Round Two of this unique series.

The 50 karts, each featuring the award-winning Birel race chassis and fitted with the revolutionary Rotax Evo Max engine, represent an astounding £250,000 investment by Daytona Motorsport, further underlying the Group's commitment to delivering the best hire-kart racing in the UK today.

Daytona Motorsport Group Technical Director, Richard Brunning, has spent nearly a year testing and specifying the karts in preparation for Sunday's race and was delighted with the performance of the karts. He said, "It was great to get such positive feedback from the DMAX drivers after Sunday's race. The karts are superb. We've taken the massively improved Rotax Max engine and developed our own engine management unit to ensure that our fleet is the fastest and most evenly-matched race fleet in the UK."

TW Steel DMAX Heavy Endurance winner, Andrew Haine, was particularly impressed with the karts, "The new karts are immense!" he said. "They feel like they when I started DMAX back in 2011. I was having such fun as the line dried and the kart just wanted to go quicker and quicker. Taking T1, T2 and T3 on Sunday was the most fun I've ever had in a kart. Madness!"

With even closer racing than Round One, Daytona Motorsport would like to congratulate all of Round Two's podium finishers:
