SIGNATURE F3 ready for FIA F3 European first round

This weekend, at the Silverstone circuit in England, the SIGNATURE F3 team is ready for the first round of the high performance FIA F3 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP. Philippe Sinault’s team, which made its return on the international single-seater scene last season, will be entering drivers Alex Albon and Dorian Boccolacci in two Dallara 013 with Volkswagen engines, bearing the LOTUS F1 JUNIOR TEAM colours. Despite being rookies in the series, Alex and Dorian are both ready to make their mark !

After an absence of almost three years, SIGNATURE picked up where they left off at the end of last season, competing in Imola in the FIA F3 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP, followed by the streets of Macao for the F3 World Cup. For their 25th year in motorsport, Philippe Sinault’s team is heading for the UK, raring to go for their first meeting of the season.

PHILIPPE SINAULT – TEAM PRINCIPAL SIGNATURE : "I really can’t wait for the season to begin! The off-season is always too long…Here we are back in F3, and I’m happy to share this with Alex and Dorian, both a part of the LOTUS F1 JUNIOR TEAM.

"We’ve been thrown in at the deep end, and the FIA F3 Championship’s grid is incredibly strong! F3 has once again become the pinnacle category for training drivers. We know that we have a hand to play even if our drivers are beginners. A big bang would confirm our return. The last tests at Silverstone showed that we still have a lot of work to do (Dorian was discovering the track), but we will respect the plan we’ve fixed for ourselves, and we’re staying focused. The weather this weekend will likely be an element to take into account into the strategy to adopt during the practice sessions and the race. But we’ll see on Friday at 9am for the first free practice sessions…”
