COVENTRY confirmed a top-four finish in the National League with two wins from Sunday’s double-header at Brandon.The Storm defeated runners-up Eastbourne 57-32 in the first meeting before notching a 55-36 victory over Mildenhall.Guest Liam Carr top-scored in both meetings with 10 and 11+1 respectively, whilst captain Martin Knuckey won three races in both, including a spectacular Heat 11 success over Eastbourne’s Bradley Wilson-Dean (11+1) in the first match. Mildenhall guest Danny Ayres top-scored for the Fen Tigers with 11 in the second.Coventry boss Laurence Rogers said: “That was a tremendous finish to the season, and really we should have had a completely unbeaten home record - it was just that Birmingham match, which we should have won.“These boys have been magnificent, the track was superb for them and they attacked it exactly like they should do.“I think that one race between Martin Knuckey and Bradley Wilson-Dean was one of the best races I’ve seen anywhere this season, and I’ve done 130-odd meetings.
