Sennan Fielding will return to the BRDC Formula 4 Championship with HHC Motorsport to participate in the upcoming 2015 Duo BRDC F4 Autumn Trophy. Fielding raced in the series in both 2013 and 2014, finishing fourth overall in the latter year and taking four victories, including an unprecedented clean sweep of wins on the Grand Prix track at Silverstone.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a part season with Douglas Motorsport in 2013 before joining HHC Motorsport for 2014, where he enjoyed a strong campaign and was in title contention going into the very last race of the year. The Chesterfield-based driver competed in MSA Formula in 2015, winning three races and finishing fourth overall, ahead of his return to BRDC F4.
Fielding began his karting career at the age of nine, claiming titles at local and national level before graduating to cars at the end of 2010 in the Ginetta Junior Winter Series. He took seventh in the main championship in 2011, with one win and three podiums, before finishing as runner-up in 2012 having claimed five wins and 10 podium finishes.
Sennan Fielding said: "I'm really looking forward to being back in the BRDC Formula 4 Championship, especially with the new car which has shown great pace in testing. I'm sure, as always in the championship, that the racing will be brilliant and hopefully myself and HHC Motorsport can be fighting right at the very front and challenging for the Autumn Trophy title."
Charlie Kemp, Team Principal of HHC Motorsport, commented: “We are absolutely delighted with Sennan returning to the team for the Duo BRDC Formula 4 Autumn Trophy. It is a testament to the new-for-2016 car that drivers are returning to the championship to sample it and we are sure Sennan will do a great job.”
The 2015 Duo BRDC Formula 4 Autumn Trophy gets underway with four races at Snetterton on November 7/8, before the final quartet of races take place on the Indy Circuit at Brands Hatch on November 14/15. The Trophy will see the introduction of the all-new, more powerful Tatuus-Cosworth which will see BRDC Formula 4 become the perfect feeder series from FIA F4 to European Formula 3 and GP3.
