KING’S Lynn captain Rory Schlein will make his return from serious injury with the Stars next season. The 31-year-old broke his back in a crash in Poland in May but has made a remarkable recovery and will now line up for a fourth year at the Adrian Flux Arena. The Stars have also confirmed the signing of Danish rider Mads Korneliussen, who last rode for the club in 2013 and sat out British racing this year, as well as Lewis Rose in a reserve berth.Lynn boss Rob Lyon said: “It's great to have Rory in the team again. He is a big part of the club and still has a lot to give. Although Rory is coming back from a big injury, talking to him, he’s confident in being able to get back to the form that he showed earlier this year. “Having Mads back in the team was an easy decision and it didn’t take long to conclude a deal. He loves being at King’s Lynn and spending a couple of seasons away will have done him good. There is no doubt he is a quality rider and I am delighted to have him back in the team.”

LAKESIDE have announced the signing of experienced Danish international Bjarne Pedersen.Hammers co-promoter Jon Cook says Pedersen, who had a brief spell with Leicester at the start of the 2015 season, is the perfect fit for the club in a heat-leader berth.Cook said: “Bjarne has an average that has room for considerable improvement, a temperament that will fit well within our team mentality and, most of all, he wanted to ride for this club over others. “Last season we had our first genuine No.1 rider in several seasons in AJ (Andreas Jonsson) but lacked the experienced heat-leader to back him up and allow our young riders to score freely without the burden of expectation. Bjarne, like Davey Watt and PK (Peter Karlsson) before him, fits the mould perfectly.”Lakeside have also confirmed the departure of team boss Neil Vatcher and plan to announce a new management structure next week.
