NEW Wolverhampton reserve Max Clegg says 2016 will be his biggest season to date - and believes winning the Elite League is “very possible.”The 18-year-old will be taking up a rare tripling-up role in the sport which will also see him racing for Edinburgh in the Premier League and Monmore Green co-tenants Cradley in the National League.Clegg said: “It's brilliant to be in a team with such big riders - and I think we've got a great chance of winning the league.“It's a much bigger league and I can only better myself from riding in it and learning from these better riders. To be riding at Wolverhampton every Monday for both Wolves and for Cradley can only be a good thing and it's definitely going to help me.”(SPEEDWAY 3)
MILDENHALL have promoted their press officer Phil Kirk to the role of Assistant Team Manager.Kirk will work alongside Fen Tigers boss Robert Henry in a move which also allows promoter Kevin Jolly to focus on other aspects of club business.Jolly said: “I have felt for some time that I need to take more of a step back on meeting days and concentrate more on the promoting role and speaking with supporters rather than being so involved with Robert in the actual match itself. “Speaking with Robert we both agreed that some support to him would be advantageous to us as a team and that Phil would be the perfect fit. “The three of us get on very well and although Phil has no riding experience he has been an experienced Manager in his career and has a good understanding of the sport. We have worked closely together over the last 18 months and I am confident he can help Robert really bring the team together as a unit next season.”
