RYE House have announced four of the 2015 Raiders riders will return to the club’s National League side next year.Rob Branford, Luke Priest, Danyon Hume and George Hunter have all secured team places back at Hoddesdon, with Branford to be joined in a strong spearhead by club asset Ben Morley, who has been with Kent in recent NL seasons.Rye House owners Team BMR said: “Ben is coming home after three years away, and he showed in his guest appearances for the side last season that he will slot back into the team pretty seamlessly. “He has also proved, with his Riders’ Championship and Pairs titles, that he is an absolute top-end National League star. Additionally, his place with the Rockets will benefit him in the Raiders, and vice-versa.”The final two spots in the team are to be filled by riders who impress the management at weekend training schools over the winter.

LEE Smart is to return to the sport next season with the Isle of Wight.27-year-old Smart last appeared in the National League for Devon in 2014 but has now become the final signing for the re-formed Smallbrook club.Smart said: “Having taken a year out, I have been in discussions with the Isle of Wight for a couple of weeks now, and I am really excited to become a Warrior in 2016. “It looks as if we will be in for a good season on track too as the management have done a great job in putting a strong looking team together in such a short space of time after being accepted in to the league on December 2.“It is good that I know most of the team already, so it all bodes well to have a great team spirit in the Warriors camp and I cannot wait to get started.”

BUXTON have announced Jade Mudgway as their fifth signing for 2016 - and also installed the Berwick asset as captain of the Hitmen.Mudgway, who last rode for the club six years ago, has been absent from the sport since racing in the Premier League for Glasgow in 2012.Buxton boss Jason Pipe said: “‘I’m certainly over the moon that Jade is going to be coming back to race for Buxton, subject to the necessary paperwork/documents coming through, which he assures us is just a formality.“I’m certain Jade will have no problem in being a 7.00–8.00 point man in the NL. He has kept himself fit by riding his Motocross bike regularly and has being riding in some local Grasstrack meetings.“He was captain last time he rode at Buxton and one of the first things he asked me once it was agreed he was coming back was, could he be team captain because he loved that job! So I’m pleased to say that Jade will captain the Hitmen in 2016 and I know he’ll do a great job.”

FORMER Peterborough promoter James Easter has joined Mildenall in an advisory role.The ex-International team boss and Travel Plus Tours owner is set to link up with Fen Tigers chief Kevin Jolly, who continues to have control of the club.Easter said: “This invitation came out of the blue, I am gradually taking a back seat in my business and still retain the desire to remain involved in speedway so this was the perfect fit for me. “With over thirty years’ experience in the sport I feel I have the knowledge and contacts to help Kevin move the club forward and that my record within the sport speaks for itself. “I have covered just about every role within this sport and am pleased to be offered the opportunity to use this knowledge and experience for the good of Mildenhall Speedway.”
