BELLE Vue's new National Stadium has been selected to host the 2016 British Championship Final.
The brand new, multi-million pound venue in Manchester will stage its first major event on Monday, June 13.
It sees a switch from Wolverhampton's Monmore Green stadium which has most commonly held the event in recent years.
Belle Vue CEO David Gordon said: "The British Final is a meeting of national significance, and we are delighted to welcome such a meeting to the National Speedway Stadium in 2016.
“Events like this, like the World Speedway League, are all part of the vision we have for this venue and we look forward to seeing the country’s best riders in action in June."
BSPA Chairman Keith Chapman said: "With it being its first year and with it being the new National track, it was logical to move the British Final.
"It's an exciting time for British Speedway having such a new stadium with such great facilities and hopefully it will deliver and we will see another great race meeting for the British Championship.
"Chris Van Straaten and Wolverhampton have always done the competition very proud indeed but this year, the National Stadium gets the nod."Elsewhere, Sheffield will stage two of Speedway GB's major events of 2016.
The British Under-21 Final and the Premier League Riders' Championship will take place on Thursday, April 14 and Sunday, September 11 respectively at the famous Owlerton circuit.
The Premier League Pairs will once again be competed at Somerset's Oaktree Arena on Friday, July 8 with the Premier League Fours Spectacular Weekend taking place at Peterborough a few weeks later on July 23 and 24 - tickets for which are expected to go on sale in the next few days.
The Elite League Riders' Championship has been switched back to October, with a finalised date to be confirmed in due course, in a meeting which could be one of the final ever raced at Coventry's Brandon Stadium.
Chapman commented: "The ELRC is going back to Coventry for two reasons. Firstly, it's a central venue being in the Midlands and secondly, it's been a great speedway venue down the years and it seems very fitting to have such a big, prestigious, individual event as one of Brandon's final ever meetings.
"People will bring up what happened a few years ago, but I believe lightning doesn't strike twice in the same place."They've got different people doing the track to back then and I think it will be a fantastic race meeting which will serve up some excellent racing.
"Sheffield, Somerset and Peterborough are three superb race tracks and they will serve up a treat for everyone for their respective major events.
"The Premier League Fours Spectacular weekend is something that we all can't wait for; a lot of thought and a lot of work has gone in behind the scenes and we're going to do everything we can to make sure it's a success. It's certainly something different and I'd love to see it pay off.
