Trident FM Brno, Race 1

Trident Racing was back to the track this weekend at Brno for the third seasonal round of the International Formula Master. The first race of the weekend ended with a double points finish for the team, attempting to complete the job on race 2. Kasper Andersen ended up in 5th, as he recovered from the  8th spot on the grid thanks to an aggressive driving style. Harald Schlegelmilch took 8th place, meaning a pole position for the Latvian on Race 2, by taming an accelerator issue that led to a gearbox malfunction. Unfortunately, the third Trident car ended its day as early as lap 1, with Spaniard Alejandro Núñez stopped for good in a contact, after experiencing set-up struggles in practice and qualifying.Kasper Adersen #32             5thAlejandro Núñez #33            DFNHarald Schlegelmilch #31    8thAlessandro Alunni Bravi, Managing Director“We had a lot of ups and downs today. Both Kasper and Harald took points, as well as some positive spots in the second race`s grid. They had trouble-free runs and kept a great pace all-day long, though we didn`t match the laps clocked by winner Chris Van Der Drift, the undoubtable reference point in the series by now. We`ll have to close the gap and push harder than possible. Harald, starting on pole, will have the chance to bring Trident Racing to the first Formula Master win. I`m sorry for the set-up problems had by Alejandro: forced to take off from the back of the pack, he got collected in a contact at the start. He was coming from a great weekend at Pau, but I hope to have him back to the top of the timesheet in Race 2, thanks to some new solutions we studied for him".
