A record crowd of 30,000 fans witnessed round 14 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Oulton Park on Sunday (27 July 2008).As a permanent support race to the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship, the Carrera Cup benefits from being part of a hugely popular and superbly presented race programme. Round 14 of the Carrera Cup GB ran just before the second BTCC race of the day at the Cheshire track as the huge crowd enjoyed great weather and a tremendous day of racing.The total weekend audience at Oulton Park was over 35,000, with 30,000 packing into the scenic track on Sunday. The figures represent a 20% increase on last year and confirm this as the biggest BTCC crowd at any venue for a decade.
