Harvey ready for 100th Carrera race

Tim Harvey will contest his 100th race in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB during the next weekend in the calendar at Knockhill on 16/17 August.Harvey, currently contesting the overall championship lead with Michael Caine and Tim Bridgman, is the most successful and prolific racer in the championship's six-year history, having completed full seasons in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. In 2003, the first year of the Carrera Cup, Harvey tackled four races in the VIP car and will complete rounds 15 and 16 of the 2008 season at Knockhill.In the course of his 98 races to date, Harvey has finished on the podium no less than 68 times, compared to the 52 podium finishes scored by Richard Westbrook. Harvey has also scored 19 race wins and taken 22 fastest laps.His most recent race wins came in rounds 11 and 12 at Snetterton in July when he turned in a peerless performance in his Red Line Racing 911GT3 Cup car.
