The seventh running of the official Scottish Motorshow takes place at Knockhill - Scotland's National Motorsport Centre - this forthcoming weekend (May 22/23) and is set to be the fastest ever with a 200mph Formula One car, GT Sports Cars, Bikes and World Sidecars all blasting around the famous circuit in the name of entertainment!
Unlike many static shows, Scotland's Motorshow is a moving motorshow exhibition which is truly interactive and allows all the family to get involved and be part of the action. Fans can get on track in the demonstrator cars, go off roading in a 4x4 or take part in TeenDrive for 13 to 16 year olds or go karting.
The Formula One outright lap record attempt will be undertaken by Tony Handsford who owns and races the 2003 Arrows F1 car, as seen in the F1 series formerly known as Euroboss.
Other highlights include Honda's first showing of the CRZ ahead of the public launch next week and Civic Type R GT and other manufacturers exhibiting latest models include SEAT, Alfa, Nissan, Morgan, Mercedes, Ford, Skoda, Smart, Chevrolet, Jeep, Fiat, Land Rover, Renault, Peugeot, Lotus and Aston Martin. The Knockhill event will also host the launch of the latest incarnation of the World's first ALL ELECTRIC supercar from Tesla.
Over the weekend, there will be displays by the Abarth World Aerobatic Display (Sunday only), Golden Lions Parachute Display Team, Hamish the Highland Mini, an F1-engined VW Beetle, Kris Meeke's actual IRC Championship winning Peugeot 207, World stunt driver Paul Swift debuting his new routines in a Focus RS and both the Alfa 8c Competizone and a Spider, of which there are only two in the UK.
In addition, there is the Motorsport Zone, Armed Forces, Kids Zone, Truckmania (40 show and custom trucks) Supercars on track and more.
