EASTBOURNE have moved to strengthen their line-up with the signing of former Belle Vue and Lakeside man Tomasz Jedrzejak. The Pole joins as a replacement for injured fellow countryman Dawid Lampartand is set to make his debut in the Eagles' televised clash with Peterborough a week on Monday.Co-promoter Mike Bellerby said: "Despite the largely held perception tha tPolish riders are more at home on the wider, bigger circuits, we understand that Tomasz is something of a small track expert, and we remain hopeful that this is something that will become evident right from the first race of hisfirst match for us against Peterborough.

"Quite obviously, we would have preferred to have had him on board for the visit of the Coventry Bees next Thursday but unfortunately he was already committed on that day. "In the meantime, however, we will be using that time to ferry his machinery across from Poland and ensuring that his set up in this country is just howhe requires it in readiness for what we hope will prove a barnstorming second half to the season."

KING'S Lynn boss Rob Lyon has confirmed that the club are seeking a replacement for absent Swede Linus Eklof.Eklof with held his services for the Stars' heavy Premier Trophy defeat at Newcastle last Sunday, a result which effectively ended their chances of holding on to the silverware - with the Diamonds subsequently winning the second leg at the Norfolk Arena as well.Speaking to the Eastern Daily Press, Lyon said: "Linus has got problems in Sweden. He had to make a decision and that decision was to take a break from British speedway. Obviously that means he's withholding his services, which means we get a facility for him for 28 days."In the meantime we need to look for a new rider because clearly rider replacement is not going to work for us, so that is what we are doing at the moment, looking around to see if we can find somebody. But I think we have more issues than that if I am honest with you."
