Regalia ends 6th in hard Formula BMW Europe race

Facu Regalia ended the first Formula BMW Europe race of the Valencia’s weekend in the sixth position, after some difficulties with his car.

The life wasn’t easy for the Spanish-Argentinean driver, today. He started well from the fifth position of the grid and, in the first laps, he was trying to overtake the driver in the third place.

“I started well, I tried to overtake Tarancón and Frinjs on the outside, but the first one closed me the door and we almost touched. I was ahead of Frinjs and I tried to overtake Tarancón again in the next few laps, but he slammed me the door again and, this time, there was contact between us”, said Facu Regalia at the end of the race. But this good beginning didn’t last long as his car began to lose performance.

As the Spanish-Argentinean driver said, “After the third lap, the other drivers started to improve their lap-times, but my car started to understeer and it was hard to keep up with the drivers in front of me”. In these conditions, it was a question of time until he had to defend his position from the drivers behind him. Facu Regalia tried to maintain the fourth place, but he was overtaken by two cars before the chequered flag, adding some points to his championship tally, after being, as usual, the best Eifelland Racing driver.
