MARK Lemon returned to his old track Somerset and helped Newcastle to a48-42 win on Friday. Lemon top scored for the Diamonds with 12+1 but they lost Jason King with a thumb injury which isn't thought to be serious.
Team manager George English said: "This was a fabulous away victory and we're delighted to take the six-point win against a side who have really become more like their own selves again after a month or two in the doldrums, which makes our away win that more impressive."

EDINBURGH have gone four points clear at the top of the Premier League after a 52-38 win over Newport at the Scotwaste Arena.Kalle Katajisto was top scorer with 13 on an entertaining night of racing. For the visitors both Craig Watson and Leigh Lanham notched 10-points.Monarchs promoter Alex Harkess said: "We really made it hard for our selvesagain throwing points away but the fans were entertained."
