Rounds 15 & 16: Harewood, July 3-4
A pair of stunning wins at Harewood gifted Martin Groves the Nicholson McLaren MSA British Hill Climb Championship lead for the first time in over a year. Reigning champion Scott Moran could do nothing to halt Groves’ charge, although two second places leave his championship deficit at just three points midway through the season.Moran’s father Roger secured fifth and third places but was outscored by a single point by Trevor Willis, thus separating their previously tied score for third in the title race.
