Round 4: International Rally Isle of Man, July 9-10
Keith Cronin and Barry McNulty got their Dulux Trade MSA British Rally Championship title defence back on track with victory on the Rally Isle of Man. The reigning champions’ path to the spoils was eased by an off for fellow title protagonist Gwndaf Evans, who lost two minutes and with them any chance of securing his third victory in a row.MSA Team UK’s Alastair Fisher was the early pace-setter but suffered a stage-cancelling accident that ended his bid for a maiden championship triumph. National squad team-mate Adam Gould then joined the fight at the front and recorded a scratch time on SS7, only for his charge to be ended by an impact with a post on the following stage.
