Round 5: Isle of Man Historic Rally, July 9-10
Irishman Ryan Barrett triumphed on round five of the Dunlop/Wonago.com MSA British Historic Rally Championship, the Isle of Man Historic Rally. Barrett and co-driver Paul McCann upped their pace steadily throughout the event, eventually overhauling opening-day leaders Darren Moon and Chris Parsons to score a mighty victory aboard their Ford Escort Mk2.David Stokes and Guy Weaver were clear winners in Category Two after a fine performance, while Jonathan Gale and James Whitaker took Category One following a long battle with reigning champions Dessie Nutt and Geraldine McBride.
