Lietz-Roda (Autorlando) Make It Double Win For PorscheDayraut (Luxury Ferrari) Retakes Lead In GTSFirst win of the year for Lietz-Roda ahead Narac-PiletBarba-Kaffer again 3rd, championship re-openedDayraut wins in GTS, Mortimer-Bamford (Ford) again on podium

Porsche completed its triumphal week-end in Magny-Cours with a perfect one-two ofits 911 RSR machines, which appeared in great form in Magny-Cours: this time victory,the first of the season, was for the Autorlando car of Richard Lietz and Gianluca Roda,with yesterday’s winners Narac-Pilet (IMSA) coming second. Championship leadersBarba-Kaffer (AF Corse Ferrari) repeated their third place of Saturday. All this brings amuch closer situation, with closer gaps now separating these three teams.

In another very warm day, the GTS category saw a French success with Jean-PhilippeDayraut and Stéphane Ortelli imposing their Luxury Ferrari at home, ahead of the RPMFord of Mortimer-Bamford, again on the podium, and the Autorlando Porsche ofGruber-Deverikos.

At the start, poleman Lietz keeps the advantage over Pilet, Kaffer, Kirkaldy,Toccacelo, Mortimer (leader in GTS), Dayraut, Guerrero, Deverikos and Bontempelli.Niarchos stops with a damaged front end, while Toccacelo passes Kirkaldy for fourthand Makowiecki takes the leadership in GTS from Mortimer. Positions at top stabilize,with Lietz, Pilet, Kaffer and Toccacelo clearly ahead. Bachelier and Salucci suffer offtracksand Monje spins, but all rejoin the race without problems.

After the driver changes and the handicaps, Roda leads with 15 seconds over Narac, 29on Barba and 31 on Giammaria and Wiser, while in GTS it is Bamford, Gruber andDayraut,all within 12 seconds.

While in the lead, the two Porsches hold with no problems, in GTS Dayraut passesGruber and Bamford in lap 25 to take the class lead, while Livio retires and Wiserspins. Toccacelo gets closer to Barba in the final laps but there won’t be any changesand the two Porsches win ahead the two Ferraris.
