Live Race of ChampionsIt’s still a bit early for the end-of-season spectacular in Dusseldorf so instead the Race of Champions heads to Portugal for the regional finals in sunnier Algarve climes. -     Sunday, 8 & Monday, 9 August: 8pmLive World MotocrossIt’s the Czech Republic’s turn to host a round of the world championship which will come as a welcome relief to the nation’s leading contender, Petr Smitka, who currently lies 23rd in the MX2 standings. MX1 and the Women’s class also features.   -      Sunday, 8 August: From 10am & 2pm   GP3 Series The Hungaroring is famed for its lack of overtaking opportunities so let’s hope motorsport’s bright young things have been studying a couple of comeback master classes from British world champs messieurs Mansell and Button, who hoisted silverware aloft in 1989 and 2006 despite starting 12th and 14th.     -     Sunday, 8 August: 5pmBritish F3Don’t let the potentially dull GP3 procession put you off though because sticking with Motors TV yields a deserved reward for the more patient hearted amongst you. Yes, it’s British F3’s annual excursion to Spa-Francorchamps, a proper drivers’ circuit if ever there was one.  -     Sunday, 8 August: 6.30pm Euro F1 Sidecar Challenge Seriously, when was the last time you saw sidecar racing on tele? Unless you’ve got it on a dusty VHS somewhere this could literally be the first time. Ever. Heaven knows why it’s not a more established part of Britain’s motorsport landscape though because surely seeing a man hanging on for dear life at something approaching 200mph is worth a gander? We certainly think so which is why the opening two rounds from Pembrey and Snetterton are on back-to-back.-     Thursday, 12 August: 9.15pmEuropean Truck RacingNurburgring hosts round four of the continent’s second most unlikely motorsport. Tractor Pulling takes top spot, obviously.-     Saturday, 7 August: 3pm
