Round 5: ALMC Stages Rally
Damian Cole took the REIS MSA Asphalt Rally Championship lead with his fourth maximum points haul from five events on the ALMC Stages Rally. Cole and co-driver Craig Drew guided their four-wheel-drive Ford Focus WRC to the Asphalt laurels ahead of the two-wheel-drive Ford Escort MkII of Simon Mauger and Ashley Trimble.Retirement from the rally has relegated Stone from first to third place in the points table, though with the scoring system accounting for the best five from nine results, all is still to play for between now and the season finale in October.
