Skip Barber Winter Regional Series schedules‏

Skip Barber Racing School today announced its 2010-2011 Winter RaceSeries schedules. The Southern Race Series and MAZDASPEED Challenge South include a return to thenewly resurrected Palm Beach International Raceway, while the Western Race Series sees theintroduction of Chuckwalla Valley Raceway in California to the schedule.

Skip Barber Southern Series / MAZDASPEED Challenge SouthWith two championships being contested at four different tracks over six weekends, the 2010-2011Southern Race Series and MAZDASPEED Challenge South schedule is the most diverse schedule inyears. In addition to our traditional races at Road Atlanta, Sebring International and Homestead, we arereturning to West Palm Beach in March for the first time in four years, and the first time since thecomprehensive upgrades to what is now Palm Beach International Raceway.

Skip Barber Western Race SeriesA new addition to the Western Series schedule is Chuckwalla Valley Raceway in Desert Center,Calif. An hour East of Palm Springs, Chuckwalla is a 2.68 mile 17 turn road course built adjacent tothe Desert Center Airport and opened in 2009.At this time there are no plans for a MAZDASPEED Challenge Series on the west coast. We areplanning non-points run groups for the MX-5 Cup cars at select Mazda Raceway Race Weekends.If there is sufficient demand we can put together a West championship.2010-2011 Skip Barber Western Race Series schedule
