Hispania Racing driver looking forward to a challenging weekend
After a strong drive in Germany, Hispania Racing driver Bruno Senna is determined to put in another solid performance this week at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Brazilian driver made his fastest start of the season and showed good pace in the first half of the race in Hockenheim, leading ‘new team rival’ Timo Glock until a slow puncture put paid to his progress by forcing an unscheduled pit stop.
Bruno is now looking forward to the unique challenge that the Hungaroring circuit presents and can draw on positive previous experiences, having registered two podium finishes there in the 2008 GP2 Series.
"I’m really looking forward to Hungary because the atmosphere is great and the crowd always enjoys the show. It’s a high-downforce circuit and very demanding for the driver and the car because of the bumpy, long-radius corners. Opportunities for overtaking are more limited than at other circuits, so qualifying will be crucial this weekend."
Bruno is focused on another strong performance to sustain momentum before the summer break, when he will return to Brazil.
"It will be a very difficult test but we hope to do better than expected and match the competitive pace we found in Germany."
