(SPEEDWAY 1)STOKE have made a further team change with former British Under-21 Champion Ben Wilson joining the Potters.Wilson was Redcar's Rider of the Year in 2009 but lost his team place with the Bears recently, and he replaces Jan Graversen at Loomer Road.Manager Malcolm Vasey said: "We are in a results business, we have lost the last couple of meetings and we knew we had to make changes. Unfortunately over the last few matches Jan had struggled and as a result Ben will come in to replace him. "Ben is capable of scoring as a heat-leader and has in the past scored plenty of points against us. We're hoping that he will score those points for us now instead of against us."(SPEEDWAY 2)SCUNTHORPE have signed Jan Graversen at reserve following his release from Premier League rivals Stoke..The Scorpions had been giving outings to youngsters Steve Worrall and Gary Irving in recent meetings but have now moved to add more experience ahead of the run-in.Promoter Rob Godfrey said: "The experiment of using Gary and Steve has definitely been a success. They have progressed and proven they definitely have a future in the Premier League. "They are very much part of our plans for the future but with the Young Shield being a competition where matches are won on aggregate, every point is going to be vital. "Jan has scored points where ever he has ridden and really likes our track. It was an opportunity we just had to take whilst available and hopefully we it will help us have a strong finish to the season and, just maybe, bring this club its first major piece of silverware."

WORKINGTON have been hit by the news that Peter Kildemand faces a further spell on the sidelines with a broken bone in his hand. The Comets are, however, boosted by the fact that Rusty Harrison and Andre Compton are due back for Thursday's trip to Redcar after missing recent matches due to illness and injury respectively. And manager Ian Thomas has slammed speculation that he was set to make changes to his line-up.Thomas said: "Peter's hand became very sore and painful and when he went back to the hospital the X-ray did show up a break."They put it in a pot and although the hospital feel he could be out for the rest of the season I have a doctor's note for a month and Peter himself thinks he'll be back ion less time than that."At least I don't have to go round looking for guests as both Rusty and Andre will be back for us at Redcar. That should knock on the head the countless rumours on the internet about what was happening with Andre. They are the sort of unfounded rumours which do nobody any good."(FIXTURES) THURSDAY AUGUST 12:SKY SPORTS ELITE LEAGUE: Eastbourne v Belle Vue 7.45, Ipswich v Coventry 7.30, Swindon v Poole 7.30 PREMIER LEAGUE: Redcar v Workington 7.30, Sheffield v Edinburgh 7.45 BRITISH UNDER-15 CHAMPIONSHIP: Isle of Wight 7.30FRIDAY AUGUST 13:SKY SPORTS ELITE LEAGUE: Lakeside v Swindon 8pm PREMIER LEAGUE: Edinburgh v Berwick 7.30, Newport v Rye House 7pm NATIONAL LEAGUE: King's Lynn v Buxton 7.30, Plymouth v Bournemouth 7.30CHALLENGE: Weymouth v Tamworth Saxons 7.15
