(SPEEDWAY 1)BELLE Vue have reduced admission prices for their Elite League clash with Poole on Monday as they bid to keep their faint play-off chances alive.Adult admission will be £10 with concessions reduced to £8, children £3 and under-12s free, with the Aces going into the match off the back of a 49-41 win at Coventry on Friday.Operations Director Chris Morton said: “The guys put in a great performance to take maximum points. The opportunity was there to win the match and they made sure they took it.“Now we need to take that into the Poole match when we will run rider replacement for Patrick Hougaard who is recovering from concussion after being released from hospital in Denmark.”(SPEEDWAY 2)GLASGOW skipper Joe Screen has described the Tigers’ two away wins over the weekend as “massive” in their chase for the Premier League title.Screen led his side to victories at Leicester on Saturday and then by a 60-33 margin in the top-of-the-table encounter with Workington at Ashfield on Sunday. He said: “This weekend has been massive for us. We got the win at Leicester where we did very well, Nick (Morris) in particular being sensational, but the whole team carried that on on Sunday with as strong a performance as I have seen in a while. “We have taken ourselves into a position now where we can start to sense a league title and with two interesting away clashes coming up this week, then we could just about tie things up in the next couple of weeks. However we cannot allow any complacency to set in.”(SPEEDWAY 3)LEICESTER have released both of their reserves, John Oliver and Charles Wright, following their home defeat by Glasgow on Saturday. Both riders scored three points in the meeting but were overshadowed by the Tigers’ Nick Morris who piled up a bumper 19-point haul.Oliver made 24 league and cup appearances for the Lions, and was one of three original members of the team who started the season for the club, who have made wholesale changes during the summer.Wright, meanwhile, was a loan signing from Workington in June, and the Lions will name the replacement riders following approval from the BSPA.

(SPEEDWAY 4)MILDENHALL maintained their unbeaten home record in a thrilling National League encounter with Scunthorpe, coming away with a 47-43 win at West Row.The Fen Tigers made sure of victory on the day with a 5-1 from Lewis Blackbird and Daniel Halsey in Heat 14, with the Saints’ Stefan Nielsen crashing out in that race although he has now been released from hospital with mild concussion. The visitors salvaged a point from the meeting when Ashley Birks and Steve Worrall combined for a 5-1 in the last race.Mildenhall co-promoter Chris Louis said: “We are all thrilled to have come out of a hard battle like that with a victory. All the boys contributed in a great all-round performance against one of the best teams in the league.”(FIXTURES)
