in Pirelli World Challenge Debut of No. 60 Porsche Cayman S at Mid-Ohio Sports Car CourseNew Napleton Porsche Entry Quick Off the Truck Friday in Preparation for Mid-Ohio DoubleheaderKevin Gleason kicked off his first weekend of racing with Napleton Porsche in the Pirelli World Challenge in fine style Friday at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course where he qualified the No. 60 Napleton Porsche Cayman S third fastest in the competitive GTS class.The new combination of Napleton Porsche and Gleason is making its Pirelli World Challenge debut but both the team and driver bring winning experience to the series.  Gleason and his brother Chris Gleason Jr. won a GRAND-AM Challenge race in an APR Volkswagen GTI in 2011 at Watkins Glen while Napleton Porsche built and at the time maintained the No. 68 Team Hot Wheels Cayman S that Jack Baldwin drove to the GTS victory in April at Long Beach.It feels great, I am really excited for the team but not really surprised we did this well to start off, Gleason said. I want to thank the Napleton Porsche team, they have done a great job and put in the extra time and worked some long nights to get it right.  It showed today and this reflects the teams thorough preparation.The No. 60 Napleton Porsche Cayman S, clocking in with a top lap time of 1:30.097 (90.223 mph), was the fastest non-Acura in the GTS field in qualifying.  Gleason trails only pole sitter and perennial World Challenge Champion Peter Cunningham and his RealTime Racing Acura TSX teammate Nick Esayian who locked down the front row.Gleasons Pirelli World Challenge debut comes after some successful Pirelli Cayman Interseries races with his brother and their father Chris Gleason earlier this year. Kevin Gleason won a Friday night enduro in the season-opening event at Palm Beach International Raceway in February, his very first race start in the Interseries.  Kevin and his father also co-drove to a Pirelli Cayman Interseries enduro victory last month at Road America.The World Challenge car is definitely gnarlier than the Interseries Cayman, Gleason said.  It is still a comfortable car to drive but more of a handful because you have a lot more to work with.  The brakes are great, so you can carry more speed, and with all of the grip you have from the larger Pirellis, you can drive more on the limit.  It makes it more difficult but it is also a lot of fun.Saturday's Pirelli World Challenge schedule begins with a rolling race start at 5:10 p.m. EDT.
