SOMERSET promoter Debbie Hancock is hoping the seventh staging of the Premier League Pairs at the Oaktree Arena on Friday proves to be a lucky one for the Rebels. The venue has hosted the event since 2007 and has become established as the perfect warm-up for the British Grand Prix at the Millennium Stadium the following dayyet the home side have never tasted Pairs victory during that period.Hancock said: It says much about not only the fairness of the Oaktree Arena track, but also the quality of the riders on show each year that Somerset have yet to get their name on the trophy despite us staging the meeting in each of the past six seasons. As it turns out, the Sunday following the Pairs will be 13 years to the day since the Oaktree Arena staged is first ever meeting, so it would be a fitting way to celebrate the OTA becoming a teenager if we to actually win the Pairs title.
