Voters placed Clapton ahead of other guitar legends Jimmy Page, Slash, Angus Young, Pete Townshend and Keith Richards in a special on-line poll hosted on the official Silverstone Classic website (www.SilverstoneClassic.com).Although renowned as the worlds biggest classic motor racing festival, the annual Silverstone Classic is equally famous for its hugely popular live music concerts staged on both Friday and Saturday eveningshence the events Rocking and Racing motto and the significance of this poll.
