EASTBOURNE ended Birminghams record of scoring at least a point in every away meeting with a 51-41 win over the league leaders at Arlington.Mikkel Michelsen (11+2) made an impressive debut for the Eagles with reserve Timo Lahti (13) also in fine form, whilst the Brummies suffered a major blow when the previously unbeaten Chris Harris crashed in Heat 15 and suffered a suspected broken collarbone.Eastbourne boss Trevor Geer said: We were delighted to take all three-points from the Brummies and become not only the first team in eight matches to prevent them taking at least a point from a travelling engagement, but also to be the first to force them into taking a tactical ride this year. The form of Mikkel Michelsen was a revelation, to win his first heat in Elite League competition was fantastic, exactly what we hoped for and we look forward to plenty more from him. Timos contribution should not be forgotten also, his 13-points played a huge part in our win.

WOLVERHAMPTONS convincing 55-37 home win over Coventry moved the Monmore side level on points with Birmingham at the top of the Elite League table.Wolves ran just three last places in their derby victory with Tai Woffinden and Adam Skornicki both scoring 12+1, whilst Stuart Robson was the top visiting rider on 11.Wolves boss Peter Adams said: The team did very well, particularly considering Freddie (Lindgren) didn't score as many as we would expect on his first meeting back from injury. All in all it was a good performance from all the boys, and we are very happy with all three points.(SPEEDWAY 3)

SOMERSET have announced a reduced-admission deal for next Tuesdays clash with Workington as they race three times at home in the space of a week.Supporters attending the Rebels match against Redcar on Friday will be admitted to the Comets fixture for 10 on production of their admission receipts.Promoter Debbie Hancock said: We appreciate that by introducing this special offer, it means that our loyal season ticket holders will be disadvantaged as their season ticket package loses some of its value. But in recognition of this, season tickets will now be valid for the home leg of our KO Cup semi-final tie against Edinburgh, something that was not part of the original package.(FIXTURES)
