Sixth for Mason Law at Mason Law at Oulton Park Superstock

Mason Law riding on the Chris Walker Race School Kawasaki had another points scoring result at round eight of the Pirelli National Superstock 600 class at Oulton Park. It was a welcome return to the youngster who was forced to miss the Brands Hatch round after breaking his collarbone in a testing crash.

Mason was riding well all weekend despite some discomfort with the collarbone and qualified well in seventh place, only 0.9 off pole position. He got a good start and worked hard for the 12-laps and even though it was a bit of a lonely race for him he was able to finish in sixth place and is currently lying in 11th in the overall Championship standings in his rookie year.

Mason Law - "It was a really hard weekend to be honest as the collarbone is still giving me a bit of grief. Oulton is a very physical track so we tried to ensure that we didn't do too much in practice and qualifying to help save my energy for the race.

I got a good start but had to alter my riding style to try and compensate and help my shoulder which saw me getting arm pump, something I've never had before but due to me gripping on so tight. I had to really tell myself to relax and enjoy the race and that's what enabled me to bring the bike home.

I had a bit of a moment at the chicane early on in the race and this bridged a gap between myself and the leaders but I was unable to push hard enough to catch them. My lap times all weekend were good and it helped coming back to a track we have visited before and each time everything is getting a little easier. I'm really enjoying the season and looking forward to getting to Cadwell in a couple of weeks' time."
