SWINDON returned to the top of the Elite League table with a convincing 56-37 win over Kings Lynn at Blunsdon. The Robins have the best race-points difference of the three clubs level on 48, with reserve Kyle Howarth putting in a fine display against the Stars with 11+3 as all of the home sides regular riders scored well. The visitors went into the meeting without Latvian rider Andzejs Lebedevs, who has stood down from his place in the team.Swindon boss Alun Rossiter said: That was a good nights work from us. They were a bit depleted but you can only beat whats in front of you, and they are a team in contention for the play-offs.Kyle was great. Hes been working hard and getting frustrated, so this is great for him because hes been going in the right direction. Things are looking good and theres more to come.

SEBASTIAN Alden is set to return to British racing with former club Berwick. The Swede quit Kings Lynn earlier in the season but is now being lined-up by the Bandits who stress it will be as an injury replacement for Ricky Ashworth, whose condition remains unchanged after his crash at Scunthorpe earlier this month.Berwick manager Ian Rae said: As soon as news about Ricky reached Seb, he contacted us to enquire about his former team-mates well-being, and then after thinking about it to offer to come back and ride as a Bandit again if we were going to be short-handed.This came right out of the blue, but after discussing the matter with Rob Lyon at Kings Lynnwho was sympathetic about the situationand talking it though with everyone, we have elected to bring Seb back in as an injury replacement, if the authorities give us the all-clear.(FIXTURES)
