Sales will now take place on both Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July and will include the finest classic cars, modern sports cars, classic motorcycles and automobillia lots, as well as a collection of luxury lifestyle items.

The new date will offer a host of amazing opportunities so if you’d like to have an entry considered for the Silverstone Classic Sale, get in touch with us now on +44 (0) 1926 691 141.

Meanwhile the catalogue is now closed for our May Sale at Silverstone on May 24th, when we will be offering more than 65 amazing cars for sale. In our next issue we’ll provide a full summary of the cars on offer, but in the meantime, here are details of just a few with an element of star-studded appeal to whet your appetite.

1998 Aston Martin DB7 Volante Alfred Dunhill Limited Edition

When it comes to global celebrities, they don’t come much bigger than Jennifer Lopez, the original owner of this fantastic Alfred Dunhill Limited Edition DB7 Volante.

Driven by J-Lo as she cruised around the streets of LA, this rare low mileage left-hand drive model has covered fewer than 15,000 sun-drenched miles. As one would expect, the Alfred Dunhill limited edition model features a number of luxurious touches such as special order Dunhill Silver paint finish with black hide interior, piped pale grey with black Wilton carpet and additional overmats with Dunhill insignia.

Numbered #002 of the intended 150 production run, this car just oozes celebrity status.

Estimate (£): 30,000 - 35,000

1971 Jaguar E-Type Series III V12 Roadster

Another car in our May Sale with star appeal is this beautiful 1971 E-Type formerly owned by Hollywood actor Gerard Butler.

Finished in the stunning colour combination of black with black interior, this E-Type was subject to significant work in 1993, which included a full engine overhaul and complete respray.

Talking about the car, Gerard Butler is quoted as saying: "I went to the classic car place in Chelsea to look at something else, walked in there, and there was an old E-Type Jaguar convertible, the V12 one.... I literally took one look at it, and thought, oh, my, god." – we can certainly see why!

Estimate (£): 55,000 – 65,000

1970 Bentley T1 Ex Duke of Devonshire

This is a car with perhaps one of the most fascinating histories we’ve ever had the pleasure of taking to auction.

This 1970 Bentley T1 was owned by His Grace the Duke of Devonshire and notable passengers to accompany him in it include Her Majesty The Queen, former Prime Minister Harold Macmillan, Sir John Betjeman, and both HRH Princess Alexandra and Princess Margaret.

It’s now being sold with a fresh MOT by the English composer Leslie Bricusse, famous for penning the theme to James Bond’s “Goldfinger”, Sammy Davis Jnr’s “What kind of a fool am I”, and Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good”.

1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II 4.2 Roadster(ex Eagle demonstrator)

Originally dispatched from the factory in 1969, this glorious E-Type arrived at Henry Pearman’s wonderful company Eagle E-Types in 2002, where he started to look at the Series II as a sales proposition for the first time.

The company set about a number of developments which included a new type of power steering to improve driver response, upgrades to the brakes and suspension, and fitting of wider wire wheels and more modern lower profile tyres to further enhance the ride and handling.

Such is the beauty of this car, that Silverstone Auctions boss Nick Whale owned it personally for a period prior to the current vendor, who has covered just 2,000 miles in his four year ownership.

A fantastic opportunity to acquire an original E-Type featuring some subtle upgrades from one of the world’s leading marque experts.

Estimate (£): 65,000 – 75,000

1957 Bentley S1 Continental Flying Spur by H.J. Mulliner

This rare coach-built car is an all-important numbers matching vehicle with all factory chassis build-sheets that would make it a welcome addition to any serious vehicle collection.

Painted in Seychelles Blue metallic with a mid-blue hide, this impressive car sports an automatic transmission with power steering. However, interestingly it left the factory with a manual synchromesh gearbox making it a believed one of only four examples in the S1 Continental Flying Spur range fitted with this option. In fact, the car is only one of 19 "D" Series Flying Spurs out of a total of only 167 right-hand drive examples built to design number 7443.

Estimate (£): 100,000 – 125,000
