Erebus expands V8 Ute Team for 2015 Season

Erebus Motorsport will take on two new drivers this year, expanding their outfit to prepare and run three Utes, with V8 Ute veteran Kim “The Assassin” Jane and Craig Dontas joining Adam Marjoram in the camp.

Erebus Motorsport General Manager Motorsport Barry Ryan is looking forward to the year ahead.

"It’s great to have Adam Marjoram return for 2015 - he put in a huge effort and came on very strong towards the end of 2014 so we look forward to helping him become the regular front runner he is capable of being,’’ said Ryan.

"Adding the experience and skills of both Kim and Craig is exciting for our team and will ensure we have three strong cars to take race wins and podiums.’’

Jane decided it was time to move to an outfit closer to home, and although has been happy with his top ten results over the past two years, he will be looking for a podium finish in 2015.

“Erebus Motorsport is located just minutes from Melbourne’s Cheapest Cars, which is where I spend a lot of my time and both of our mechanics are also Melbourne based so it will make access to the Bob Jane T Marts/Altenzo Tyres V8 Ute and workshop a lot easier,” said Jane.

Craig Dontas will not only move teams, but also will change from the green camel machine that he has sported for the past 5 years and don the colour blue with backing from Just Car Insurance.

“It’s exciting to be working with Erebus Motorsport this year, they are a team with personnel that have a wealth of engineering knowledge and experience in racing that will create a very solid foundation for our racing campaign this season. I’m looking forward to getting into testing ahead of the first round at the Clipsal 500 and getting to know the team in order for us to deliver some impressive results right from the start of the year for Just Car Insurance, Kitten and all of our partners,” Dontas added.

Marjoram who worked alongside Jane in 2013 when he also ran with Williams Race Tech is looking forward to having the veteran back in his camp.

“I’ll be on board with Erebus and Auto One again this season. There’s a few changes with drivers which is always exciting, it will be good to have Kim (Jane) back as a teammate. It’s my third year in the Utes, I now know all the tracks, we had really good speed in the second part of last year so where hoping for consistent top 5 and top 10 finishes this year,” explained Marjoram.

The drivers will kick off their 2015 campaign on the streets of Adelaide 26th February – 1st March at the Clipsal 500.
