CLASSICS CENTRAL HAS CONSIGNED 50 MOTOR CARS FOR ITS NEXT SALE, ON SUNDAY 6 SEPTEMBER 2015 AT 1:30PM.
Classics Central holds its sales at the Bedford Autodrome, which is located on the Thurleigh Airfield Business Park just off the A6 in Thurleigh, Bedfordshire
Lots include, Lot 33: 1972 Alfa-Romeo Montreal
A stunning red Montreal, sure to be a collectors piece, is as exciting as it is enticing.
When its prototype was first exhibited at the 1967 Exp67 in Montreal, Canada, it caused a sensation and full production commenced in 1970, with 3,917 examples being produced when production ceased in 1977.
Featuring a dry-sump 2.6 litre V8 engine, mated to a ZF 5 speed manual transmission, this Montreal is every bit the runaway Italian stallion, with original black leather seats and red coachwork which is evocative and period correct.
Imported into the UK and 1990, and having had only two owners in total since arriving, its kilometre reading of 44,664 is supplemented by its recent MoT history as detailed here:
MoT HistoryDate Kilometres 22/08/2006 42,912 16/08/2007 43,026 30/09/2008 43,079 29/09/2009 43,141 21/09/2010 43,209 15/09/2011 43,538 11/09/2012 43,710 10/09/2013 43,865 02/10/2014 43,991
With a published top speed of 137mph and a 0-60 time of just over seven seconds, this Italian thoroughbred carries an aura of authority and would be a highly desirable addition to any private collection.
Guide range: £39,000-42,000
and possibly the prettiest British sports car of them all:
Lot 25: 1961 MGA 1600 Roadster
A gorgeous Iris Blue MGA Roadster is in beautiful condition throughout, with its trademark chrome grille smiling brightly as it shows off the very best roadster lines of the 1960s.
This UK-delivered, right hand drive motor car has been subjected to a recent nut and bolt restoration, offering truly rewarding motoring with the pride of classic car ownership being assured.
Sporting wire wheels in near-perfect condition and a superb set of detailed touches, such as the steering wheel boss and chromed windscreen surround, this car lacks for nothing in its appearance and would grace any private collection.
With only four owners from new in total, ownership opportunities of this nature present very infrequently and as one would expect it has been quite a few years since this car has been offered to the public for sale.
A late model 1600 with disc brakes all-around and a recently retrimmed burgundy interior, it is said to drive as well as it looks, and shows 66,000 miles.
This lovely motor car will be supplied by the vendor with a fresh MoT.
Guide range: £25,000-27,000
