A GOLDEN AUTUMN FOR THE ALPINE A110 IN RALLYING

Launched in 2024, the Alpine A110 Rallye GT+ has taken its first title in the French Two-Wheel Drive Rally Championship in the hands of Raphaël Astier.
The A110 Rally won its fifth title in France, taking the French Women's Rally Championship for the first time with Mireille Vidueira.
Already crowned Spanish Tarmac Rally Championship Champions with the A110 Rally in 2024, Jorge Cagiao and Javier Martínez did it again this year with the A110 Rallye GT+.

Twelve months after its victorious debut in Japan, the A110 is preparing to return to the Land of the Rising Sun to target new successes on the international stage.

Since returning to rallying in 2020, Alpine has emerged as a benchmark in a discipline in which it won the inaugural World Rally Championship title in 1973. True to the brand's DNA of lightness, agility, and precision, the A110 continues to exceed all expectations and collect honours. Often capable of competing with the best four-wheel drive cars, the A110 continued its winning ways in 2025.

FIRST TITLE FOR THE A110 RALLYE GT+

Already crowned four times with the Rally version driven by Manu Guigou (2020), Cédric Robert (2022, 2024), and Raphaël Astier (2023), Alpine extended its dominance with a fifth title, its fourth in a row, in the FFSA French Two-Wheel Drive Rally Championship.

After a promising debut season, the A110 Rallye GT+ confirmed all its potential in 2025. Behind the wheel of the latest evolution designed and developed by Signatech, Raphaël Astier had a remarkable campaign with six wins and seven podium finishes from eight starts. This consistency at the sharp end saw him secure the title at the Critérium des Cévennes. Already winner of the FIA R-GT Cup and Pikes Peak hero with Alpine, the French driver also secured an overall podium finish at Rallye Antibes Côte d'Azur.

This season will also be remembered for the final chapter on the national scene for his rival and runner-up. An iconic figure in the discipline, Cédric Robert was among the first to place his trust in Alpine upon its return to rally competition and made a significant contribution to the brand's reputation in France.

THE ALPINE A110 RALLY KEEPS ON WINNING

Meanwhile, the Alpine A110 Rally continues to add to its trophy collection. Competing in the French Women's Rally Championship, Mireille Vidueira and Jeanne Rey dominated the competition, winning at Rallye Rhône Charbonnières, Rallye Vosges Grand-Est, Rallye Aveyron Rouergue Occitanie, and Rallye Cœur de France.

Also, on the podium at Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine, the all-female crew secured the title at the Critérium des Cévennes, ahead of the season finale. Now a two-time French Women's Rally Champion, the Swiss driver is aiming for another crown, in the RGT category of the Alpine ELF Rally Trophy, where Raphaël Astier has already sealed the overall and GT+ titles.

TWO ON THE BOUNCE FOR ALPINE IN SPAIN

Alpine also won the Spanish Tarmac Rally Championship for the second consecutive year. After their historic first crown with the A110 Rally in 2024, Jorge Cagiao, Javier Martínez, and the Alpine Recalvi Rally Team triumphed again, this time with the A110 Rallye GT+.

This new title capped off a successful year for the crew. Supported by Alpine Spain, the duo prevailed against several Rally2 competitors at Rallye Cidade de Narón and Rally Mudéjar Ciudad de Teruel before sealing their second title ahead of the final round of the calendar by also winning at Rallye Costa de Almería.

RETURN TO THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN

Alpine's success is not exclusive to France and Spain. In the FIA World Rally Championship, Armand Fumal and Jules Escartefigue clinched their third victory in as many years at the Central European Rally, where they also won in the WRC Masters Cup.

The pair will be back in action this week at the FORUM8 Rally Japan, the venue for their success last year when the A110 Rally made its debut on Japanese roads. Supported by the Chazel Technologie Course team, the crew will aim to replicate their feat in an environment particularly symbolic for Alpine.

Following the Alpine A424's first victory in the FIA World Endurance Championship at Fuji, the brand will return to a country with strong ties to its community. Backed by Alpine Japan and Michelin Motorsport, the Belgian-French duo will compete in a livery inspired by Japanese culture and have the support of passionate fans keen to celebrate Alpine's 70th anniversary in style.

QUOTES

Raphaël Astier
"It's been a very satisfying season. The goal was clear: win another two-wheel drive title, and we achieved that with the Alpine A110 Rallye GT+, following on from the A110 Rally in 2023. We are delighted with the car's performance, which has again proved that we can at least compete for a top-five finish, if not better, with fastest times in several rallies. Achieving an overall podium finish with a two-wheel drive car is always special. It's a rarity, more memorable for the public, and something I truly enjoy. We've also worked hard this year on technical developments with CHL Sport Auto and Signatech to take things to the next level. We've really enjoyed every event and, even though we've already secured the title, we're doing everything we can to finish on a high at Rallye du Var."

Mireille Vidueira
"I am so proud and happy to win the French Championship. This second title means even more to me because I did it in a legendary car, the Alpine A110. From the very first kilometres, I was amazed by its power and crazy acceleration. It's a very lively car that provides a lot of excitement, but I feel at ease in it. It suits me perfectly. As the kilometres went by, I gained confidence, thanks in part to my work with my co-driver, Jeanne, and the Bonneton-HDG team. The title wasn't our initial goal, but as the season went on, we felt it was possible, and it's a great reward for everyone. I'm now looking forward to continuing the adventure with this magnificent car, and I'd also like to thank the whole Signatech team for their much-appreciated technical support, as well as Team Vidu Compétition and Bonneton-HDG for their dedication to this success."

Jorge Cagiao
"This weekend at Rally Costa de Almería, we took the lead and built up a small gap to clinch our fourth victory out of five possible so far. With ten wins from 11 special stages, we couldn't be happier, and this latest success secures us the Spanish Tarmac Rally Championship title for the second year running with Alpine. This result rewards all the hard work put in by our team, partners, and families. A huge thank you to the Alpine Recalvi Rally Team for another fantastic season!"

Armand Fumal
"We are heading to Rally Japan with enthusiasm after finishing the Central European Rally on a high, with victories in the WRC Masters Cup and in the two-wheel drive class. Rally Japan promises to be a bit more intense, particularly with Alpine Japan's involvement in several operations around the event. This weekend, we held a test-drive day for the press and a session for the winners of a competition, who experienced the Alpine A110 from a new perspective. It's an excellent initiative that benefits the brand, the team, and our crew. On the competitive side, we are aiming to repeat last year's success in two-wheel drive. However, this rally remains atypical, although somewhat comparable to the Tour de Corse, but with three times as many corners! We know it will be tough, both physically and mentally, and we will need to be focused from start to finish, because the slightest mistake could prove costly. We feel that we have improved a lot this year. With the experience and input of my co-driver, we have gained between one and two seconds per kilometre compared to 2024, and that could stand us in good stead. We will give our all to get a good result and try to get the Alpine on the podium again."
