Three days of racing, thousands of spectators @ 1000 Miglia Experience USA

Three days of racing, thousands of spectators along the route and a high-level international audience confirmed the success of the second edition of the 1000 Miglia Experience USA Florida, confirming the importance of the US event in the internationalisation of the Red Arrow.

From 20 to 23 February, over 60 crews, divided into three categories - 1000 Miglia Originals (1927–1957), Classic Icons (cars built until 1994) and Hyper/Supercars (1995–present), crossed the Sunshine State on a route that combined racing, automotive culture and the promotion of Italian style, reinforcing the event's role as a bridge between Italy and the United States.

The programme opened with a Training Day at the Hyper Club Evaluation Center & Johnny Böhmer Proving Grounds in Naples, followed by an inaugural dinner at the Revs Institute, home of the Miles Collier Collections.

The race then unfolded over three legs. The first took the crews from Naples to Venice – the town in Sarasota County that is celebrating its centenary this year – and then on to Tampa. The second leg passed through Lakeland, whose name reveals the presence of numerous picturesque lakes, and included a track session at the legendary Sebring International Raceway before arriving in exclusive West Palm Beach. The third and final leg took the crews to the white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters of Miami Beach, with the iconic passage along Ocean Drive in the shadow of Art Deco buildings, to the finish line and closing ceremony in Coral Gables.

Thousands of enthusiasts lined the route to watch the cars, especially at Centennial Park in Venice, on the picturesque Lake Mirror Promenade in Lakeland and along the famous Ocean Drive in Miami Beach, confirming the growing enthusiasm of Florida's motoring community.

On the sporting front, victory in the 1000 Miglia Originals category went to Bruno Ricci and Gustavo Gallo in a 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster. The Argentine crew also earned the most coveted prize: guarantees of acceptance to the 1000 Miglia 2027, the centenary year. The winners in the Classic Icons category were Americans Bruce and Harrison Roch in a 1950 Jaguar Xk120, while in Hyper/Supercars the Italian crew of Fabrizio Macario and Giovanna Di Costanzo won in a 2017 Ferrari 488 Spider.

The closing ceremony brought together participants, partners and institutional representatives, sealing an edition that consolidated the presence of the Red Arrow in the United States and further strengthened its bond with the American public.

This is only the beginning for 1000 Miglia in 2026. The next event on the calendar, from 12 to 15 March, is the Coppa delle Alpi St. Moritz Edition. The only winter race organised by 1000 Miglia is confirmed as the first round of the Italian Grand Events Championship, with an edition that will focus on the exclusive location of Engadine. From 9 to 12 April, the spirit of the Red Arrow will return to Puglia with the 1000 Miglia Experience Italy 2026.
