The International Motorsport Federations (FIA) Formula E Championship has agreed a deal for the MP & Silva agency to act as its exclusive partner in devising and implementing a media and broadcast strategy ahead of its debut season.The partnership will form part of a long-term commitment from both parties ahead of the launch of the new city-centre electric motorsport championship in 2014. The main focus of the new agreement will centre on the distribution of television rights in the form of premium content and wider coverage.
MP & Silva and Formula E will engage in a series of activities over the coming 12 months to help promote the environmentally-friendly benefits of electric car racing to the media. The strategy will see state-of-the-art technology and cameras used to capture views at the 10 Formula E street circuits across the world, which include London, Los Angeles, Beijing and Rio de Janeiro.We are very excited to work with Formula E right from the beginning of their media strategy, said MP & Silva Group CEO Andrea Radrizzani. South America is set to be represented by Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, with Asian races included in the shape of Beijing and the Malaysian city of Putrajaya.
